COLLECTION OF HAROLD PINTER

PETER BLAKE - BABE RAINBOW

Original enamel plaque .

The very rare original metal plaque benefitted from a similar frame technique to the painting above, but was raised forward on an mdf backing, buffered with acid-free card and screwed into place.

The screws holding the plaque in place were hand painted to mimic a degree of rust, in keeping with the plaque's visible aging.

Frame hand painted, rag finished then matt lacquered.

Glazed with UV filtration reflection-control glass.

The brush is set against the door of a poster advertising the Thames & Hudson book
'7 REECE MEWS: FRANCIS BACON'S STUDIO'.

Gilded box frame,
UV filtration glass.

(To find the brush, run your mouse along the poster.)

MATISSE

BERNARD SLEIGH, R.B.S.A.
1872-1954

Chalk on paper of Feluccas in a harbour, ex-Fine Art Society.

Framed in a gilt frame, with cotton rag mount, acid-free hinges, with applied raised gilt foil highlight and UV filtration glass.

WINDOW MOUNTING

Multi-opening window mounting allows a number of images to be displayed within one frame. Especially for smaller images, this can achieve a better effect on the wall than a series of individual small frames.
